Our analysis
65% find answers without posting, and 45% say AI tools answer enough of their questions. Time is the third factor (36%). Beyond that, social friction is real: 21% fear judgment, 20% lack confidence asking publicly, and 12% feel communities aren't welcoming. Company-specific questions (23%) and privacy/legal restrictions (11%) also gate participation. Only 12% say nothing prevents them.
