# Work data 2026

Well, it ain’t what it used to be. This year, we’re finding survey respondents are less happy in their work—the numbers are showing less happy folks and more unhappy ones. All that innovation and uncertainty can make it tough to feel comfortable in your job.

## 1.1 What and where work happens

### Relationship to coding

75% code as a primary job function; 91% create code at least occasionally. This survey is for and about a builder audience.

Asked as: Are you someone who creates code? Please select one of the following options that best describes you today. (`CodeMain`, single select, optional, v2026.1)

All Respondents · n = 30,794
